Delivery Terms & Conditions
Document Information
Version 1.0 | Effective: 7 March 2026 | Applies to: All FurniOx deliveries | This document defines the terms governing delivery, risk transfer, and acceptance of FurniOx furniture products.
Delivery Scope
Standard delivery includes transport of furniture products to the delivery address specified in the order or contract, unloading at ground-floor level, and placement in the designated room. Installation services, if included, are specified separately in the order confirmation or contract. Delivery to upper floors, locations without elevator access, or sites requiring special equipment may incur additional charges agreed upon in advance.
Delivery Timelines
Standard production and delivery timelines are specified in the order confirmation or contract. Typical lead times for custom furniture range from 4 to 8 weeks from order confirmation and receipt of advance payment. FurniOx will notify the customer at least 3 business days before the scheduled delivery date. Delivery windows are scheduled in 4-hour blocks (morning or afternoon) to minimise waiting time.
Risk Transfer
For consumer (B2C) purchases, risk of damage or loss transfers to the buyer upon physical delivery and acceptance of the goods, in accordance with EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU. For business (B2B) contracts, risk transfers upon delivery to the agreed location or upon handover to the carrier if the buyer arranges their own transport, unless otherwise specified in the contract.
Inspection Upon Delivery
The buyer should inspect the delivered products upon receipt for visible damage or non-conformity. Any visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt before signing. Hidden defects must be reported to FurniOx within 14 days of delivery for B2B contracts or within a reasonable time for B2C purchases. Signing the delivery receipt without noting damage constitutes acceptance of the products in their delivered condition for visible defects only.
Storage Requirements
If the buyer cannot accept delivery on the agreed date and requests postponement, FurniOx will store the products for up to 14 days at no additional charge. Storage beyond 14 days will incur a daily storage fee as specified in the order confirmation. Products must be stored in dry, climate-controlled conditions (18-25°C, 40-60% relative humidity). FurniOx is not liable for damage to products stored by the buyer in unsuitable conditions.
Delays & Force Majeure
FurniOx will notify the buyer promptly of any anticipated delays and provide a revised delivery estimate. Delays caused by force majeure events (natural disasters, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, government restrictions) shall not constitute a breach of contract. In the event of significant delay (exceeding 30 days beyond the agreed delivery date), the buyer may cancel the order and receive a full refund of payments made, unless the delay is attributable to the buyer's actions or requests.
Partial Delivery
FurniOx reserves the right to make partial deliveries if certain components are ready before others, provided this does not cause unreasonable inconvenience to the buyer. Partial deliveries do not affect the warranty start date for undelivered items. The buyer will not be charged additional delivery fees for partial deliveries caused by FurniOx production scheduling.
